For anyone who has watched, heard about, or read about the Golden Bachelor, one statement is true: you likely fell in love with Leslie Fhima. Leslie is a Minnesota born and raised, 65-year-old woman who has always been willing to try something new to explore where it may take her. As a young figure skater, it was her dream to be a part of the Ice Follies, a touring ice show with elaborate productions, which she auditioned for and joined for 2 years following high school. In the 80s, she opened up Leslie’s Shape Shop, an aerobics studio, after training with Jane Fonda, and continued her journey as a personal trainer and fitness instructor with LifeTime. Leslie Fhima and co-host, Lisa Rubin, have been extremely close friends since high school. As Lisa would say, “Leslie is always reinventing herself and ahead of her time”.
In this episode, we hear more about Leslie’s upbringing and her past that brought her to the person we were introduced to on national television. We learn about the friendships fostered from the Golden Bachelor, her feelings today towards Gerry, the behind the scenes of the clothing, hair and makeup on the show, and what is next for Leslie. She is authentically and truly herself (Lisa can attest to that).

A little bit of Ana Cláudia Rosa puts things in perspective. Ana is a 52-year-old Radiologist at the VA Healthcare System in Omaha, Nebraska and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. Ana was originally Board Certified in Radiology in 1999, in Brazil, then moved to the United States for love (2008), where she re-certified as an American Board Certified Radiologist (2015), and then lost the love of her life to colon cancer (2016).
Advocating, educating, and healing others has always been innately part of Ana. In 2020, Ana found a new passion in bringing awareness to reporting visceral fat on imaging studies, the importance of follow up MRIs, and how to reverse visceral fat to optimize your health. Did you know that having high amounts of visceral fat could lead to diabetes, dementia, cancer, or other chronic diseases? This podcast is about self love, how to move forward in the face of tragedy or hurdles, and how to optimize your own health.

Wednesday Jan 10, 2024
Wednesday Jan 10, 2024
What does Jacquie Berglund do? She turns beer into food.
Jacquie Berglund is the Founder and CEO of FINNEGANS Brew Co, the Rambunctious Social Entrepreneur and the driving force behind a beer brand that has generated over 2 million dollars in community impact since its inception in 2000. A graduate of The American Graduate School in Paris, Jacquie has degrees in Communications (BA) and International Relations and Diplomacy (MA): nothing to do with beer making. When she returned to the United States, she served as Marketing Director for Cara Irish Pubs in Minneapolis; this is where the spark for FINNEGANS was first lit.
In this episode, we learn the story of how Finnegans Brew Co came to be and how Jacquie and her team developed the first flagship beer. We learn how her passion for impact led to the development of a non-profit for 100% of the proceeds to go back to the community. We talk about what the “power suit” is for each individual woman: surprisingly it is not always a suit. Lastly, we learn about FINNOVATION Lab for founders.
